3D Digitization of Roman Glass Artifacts – Phase 1
The project involves the digitization of four glass vessels from the Roman period, as part of the exhibition “Glass”. Detailed 3D models were created and made available in a 360° view through an interactive web platform, as well as in augmented reality within the exhibition space QR codes.
Digitization allows visitors to explore every detail of the Roman glass vessels in a new and innovative way.
The interactive website and AR experience enable in-depth exploration of the artifacts, both virtually and alongside the physical exhibits. Visitors can rotate, zoom, and examine the objects from all angles, significantly enhancing the understanding of Roman glassmaking techniques and aesthetics.
The project contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage through high-resolution digitization and interactive presentation. QR codes placed next to the exhibited artifacts provide easy access to digital models, while the augmented reality display offers visitors a completely new experience of learning and exploring Roman glass.
